TEELING SMALL BATCH IRISH BLEND

From the Teeling Distillery founded in 2015. The first new distillery in Dublin in 125 years. Owned by the Teeling family’s Teeling Whisky Co. The Teeling family has been in the whisky distilling business since 1782. Their previous distillery which they recently sold to Beam was the Cooley distillery and fortunately they kept some of the Cooley distillery whisky stock which they now use for the Teeling bottlings until stock from the new Teeling Distillery is available.
Teeling Small Batch was matured in ex-Bourbon casks and for 6 months in ex-Rum casks.

NOSE
Sweet corn, honey, grassy, coconut, spicy, pear, little Rum cask influence
TASTE
Fresh, spicy, creamy vanilla, citrus/lemon, grain whisky sweetness, bitter marmalade, Rum casks gives it a hint of dark fruit notes (red grapes & plum & dates) + cinnamon
FINISH
Warm, spicy, vanilla, marmalade, dark fruits in the background
WITH WATER
Nose: more vanilla Taste: less bitter marmalade
